OUR CHEF

Chef Byron J. Deloatch is a personal chef, cooking instructor, writer, videographer, and recipe developer. After graduating from Rutgers University, located in Piscataway, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, he followed his desire to combine business with culinary arts and enrolled into The Culinary Institute of America, located in Hyde Park, NY which is a four-year culinary institute.  After graduating from the institute, Byron started his career as an Executive Chef at the Bon Secours Hospital.  After serving healthy, great-tasting cuisine for three years at the hospital, he felt that it was time to test his talent. In fine dining Byron was invited to join the high-end Kessler Collection by Marriott’s Autograph Collection located in Savannah, GA where he created some of the most amazing dishes, specializing in Southern and French Cuisines.  While working for the Kessler Collection,  Chef Byron had the honor of serving elite actors such as Will Smith, Lionel Ritchie, and James Howlett. Chef Byron increased his skills by accepting a position in Macon, GA at the Macon City Marriott, located at the Macon Coliseum, where he became Executive Chef. Chef Byron created menus, prepared meals, and catered for the restaurant and large banquet space for up to 1700 guest. I had the honor of catering for the Go-Big Show Season One Cast Judges including Snoop Dogg, Codi Rhodes, Rosario Dawson, and Bert Kreischer.

The onset of Covid-19 in 2020 caused the restaurant business to shut down briefly and regroup, however, Chef Byron found very interesting work as an Executive Task Force Chef, traveling throughout the United States troubleshooting and problem-solving at various hotel restaurants.  Chef Byron had the unique opportunity to create meals for the Bush Bean Family while working at the Westin Chattanooga; opened a restaurant at Hilton at the Peak in Phoenix, Arizona; trained and hired an Executive Chef, and Food Beverage Director at the Marriott on Hutchinson Island, Florida; to join The Honda Classic Golf Tournament’s Special Culinary Team in February 2022 before arriving at Twelve Midtown in March 2022.  Executive Chef Byron comes highly qualified, he has years of experience, his food is awesome and delicious, he has fed thousands of guests from coast to coast, and he never disappoints. Byron states “you have to love what you do”, and it sure shows in what he does.
